FAQ
Do I have to pay online to reserve my spot in class?
Yes. ECP recommends all students pay online to reserve your own pole and space in class. If you are unable to pay online you can drop off a payment at the studio in advance. You also have the opportunity to pay the day of class, if there is still room.
Do I have to reserve a spot for a drop-in class?
Yes. We strongly suggest that you call 2 hours in advance to reserve your spot. You are welcomed to walk-in, however we cannot guarantee you a spot.
How long are the classes?
Zumba, Booty Camp, Pole Drop-In, Pole Package Class and Pole Diva Class, are 60 minutes. Belly dancing is 45 minutes. Chair Dancing, Stretching is 30 minutes.
Can I come with my own group?
Yes! You can come with your family, friends or co-workers and have a great time. With familiar faces around you feel comfortable enough to let loose.
Am I too fat? Am I too old?
ECP works with everyone. There are no weight or age limits. (POLE DANCING 18 IS A MUST)
What do I wear or bring?
For pole dancing you must wear shorts or yoga pants and a tank top/t-shirt. We highly recommend you wear short shorts if you want to take your pole dancing to the next level and learn how to climb and invert. You will find it is easier to perform moves on the pole with plenty of direct skin-to-pole contact. Long sleeves and/or pants will prevent you from having a good grip on the pole. Jewelry, especially rings, should not be worn. Please refrain from using body lotions and moisturizers as these can make the pole slippery and hard to work with. Bring a towel and water bottle because you will work up a sweat!
What if I have no upper body strength?
Many women who start pole dancing have no physical fitness background and you do not need one to learn the art of pole. Our warm up consists of exercises that will build strength and increase flexibility. All of our students have been able to learn pole tricks in their first class no matter their fitness level or size. You’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish your first day and you’ll feel so empowered to know you did it. Each week your strength will improve just like with any other workout program. So get ready to spin, climb and dance your way to fitness.
What if I’m shy?
Our instructors and students provide and very warm and supportive environment. We aren’t just a studio, we are a family. We have so much fun. We laugh, joke, play and have an amazing time. Sexy doesn’t have to be serious. It just has to be you letting go and enjoying yourself. Plus we have dimly lit classes when we need to set the mood
Is there any risk of injury?
Like any other form of exercise there is always the risk of injury. You will move at your own pace. Safety will always be our first priority.
